Joaquin Quintos IV

President

Joaquin Quintos IV is currently a Senior Executive at First Philippine Holdings (FPH), a publicly listed Philippine conglomerate engaged in energy, property, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and education businesses. He joined FPH in 2015 and is currently a board director in various operating subsidiaries of the group. He is primarily involved in many of the new business initiatives of FPH.

In his operational role, Mr. Quintos runs the group’s healthcare and education businesses. He is the President of the group’s various healthcare businesses, Asian Eye Institute, Philippine Impact Health, and Pi Health Manufacturing and Distribution Services. He is also the President of the group’s education business, First Industrial Science and Technology College. In addition, he also drives the digital technology initiatives of the group and served as the former President of Infopro Business Solutions, FPH’s in-house shared services unit.

Mr. Quintos was also the former President of IBM Philippines. He held various management positions during a successful 27-year career at IBM from 1982 to 2009, including assignments at IBM’s headquarters in Singapore and New York.

He currently holds various board positions in leading companies including Energy Development Corporation and AIA Philippines. He continues to be involved in education as a board trustee of De La Salle College of St. Benilde and University of St. La Salle. He is currently an independent director of The Filipino Fund and a trustee at the Ophthalmology Foundation of the Philippines, Knowledge Channel Foundation, and La Gota de Leche. He previously served as Board Chairman of De La Salle University Manila and was a former independent director of STI Education Services, iPeople, and AB Capital. He also serves as an advisor to many technology start-up companies in the Philippines and abroad.

A graduate of the University of the Philippines, Mr. Quintos earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, with cum laude honors. He participated and completed the New York Marathon in 2007.

Charles Suarez

Clinical Trial Support Services Head

Charles Anthony Suarez has been with PiVOT since the beginning and is the Head of Regulatory Affairs and CTTS. He is a registered Pharmacist by profession, having gained 12 years of work experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. He specializes in Hospital Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance, having been employed in Boehringer-Ingelheim, Novartis Healthcare, Cognizant, Quintiles (IQVIA), ClinTec, EPS International, and Innovative Trials UK before working at PiVOT.

He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Santo Tomas. He proceeded with his postgraduate units at the University of the Philippines, focusing on Health Systems Management, and a Master in Health Social Science at Dela Salle University – Manila.

Charles’ personality type is ENTJ which makes him effectively lead his team to handle stressful situations with a calm, measured head and an analytical mind. He is also passionate about social causes such as Social Change and Voter Education. He joins Charity Events, where they have a foundation to help the needy. He likes cooking, shopping, hitting the gym, and going on food trips in his free time.

Lizbeth Salonga

Clinical Operations Manager

Lizbeth Ann Salonga is PiVOT’s Clinical Operations Manager and the Business Unit Head in the company’s Clinical Trial Management. For 20 years, she has acquired experience in pharmaceutical clinical research by working as Medical Information Search Specialist, Senior Clinical Research Associate, and Medical Projects Manager before coming to PiVOT.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology at the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila and Post Graduate units at the College of Public Heath of the University of the Philippines Manila. Driven by her interest in the allied medical field and clinical research, she ascertains that the drugs available in the market are ensured to be safe and effective.

An INFJ herself, she is compassionate and is guided by her principles, with patient safety being the goal in mind. She has contributed to the industry by leading the implementation of Virtual Libraries in several medical training institutions. She is a team leader in gathering data on the application of vaccines as part of the immunization program in the public sector. In addition, she has also monitored several clinical trials for drugs that are now available in the market.

When she is not busy, she likes to read, watch movies, and go for a walk. She is also a music enthusiast and listens to various genres, including rock, pop, ballad, jazz, and classical.

Joseph Cheng

Business Development Head

Joseph Cheng has been with PiVOT since its early days, spearheading its conceptualization and growth to make it one of the top CRO companies in the Philippines. With a four-year tenure as the Business Development Head, Joseph brings a wealth of management experience from his previous Corporate Planning roles at JG Summit Holdings Inc. and First Philippines Holdings Corp., where he was exposed to different industries.

He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics cum laude. Joseph later obtained his Master of Business Administration at the National University of Singapore with an exchange program at the Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. The interaction with classmates from all over the world greatly expanded his appreciation and understanding of different cultures and views. To this day, he regularly keeps in touch with them.

During his spare time, he engages in his passions—doing photography, learning about history, playing RTS games, and traveling. He’s an aviation enthusiast and loves plane spotting, preferably with an ice cream in hand.

An INTJ, Joseph is always thinking a few steps ahead. This sometimes makes it difficult for others to appreciate his immediate efforts but he always means the best.

He also has an attention to detail that others let pass without notice. Joseph firmly believes that working at the forefront of technology will further his goal of improving the lives of many people.

Kristine Farne

Clinical Data Manager

Kristine Farne, better known as Tin, has 15 years of experience in Data Management and is now the Clinical Data Manager of PiVOT. Prior to working at the company, she previously worked with EPSI Global Research Inc. as an Associate Manager and Gleneagles CRC Ltd. as a Data Manager. She holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Adamson University – Manila and has always been interested in Computer/Technical work, including database management. As a Clinical Data Manager, she plays a significant role in the healthcare industry and this also gives her a sense of fulfilment by being able to help in studies concerning human health

Tin, as an ESFJ, is highly sensitive to the needs of others and is very well-dedicated to her obligations and responsibilities. It was her childhood dream to be a doctor and to involve herself in the medical field to explore areas related to clinical research.

During her spare time, she likes to browse destinations for her future travels, listen to songs from the 80s, and discover new things worth learning. She is family-oriented and would spend her days off bonding with her family.
