Christmas is a season of giving and joy. This year, PiVOT’s Raymond Val Padua, or “Black Belter Santa” as he’s fondly called, made sure that more than 300 children from Typoco Village, San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, would be able to experience the joys of the season.

Padua, who is PiVOT’s Clinical Project Lead and the Philippine Taekwondo Association’s Region IV-B Regional Director, has been doing this charitable activity for the past 14 years.

He shared that he did not have any toys when he was a child, and as soon as he landed a good job, he saved 10 percent of his monthly salary for this family initiative charity project.

When asked why he does such an admirable activity, he said he wants to see the children smile. He believes that even those with nothing should still be able to experience the wonders of the Christmas season.

What Mr. Raymond Val Padua has done for the children of Typoco Village is truly remarkable. His acts of kindness and generosity are a great example of what Christmas should be all about. PiVOT is proud to be associated with such an inspiring individual and would like to thank him for making a difference in the lives of these children.
